Cascadia
Alive! is a weekly cable access program on anarchy,
radical anti-authoritarian and feminist politics, and community resistance
to ecological destruction and the technological death spiral. Cascadia
Alive! features footage shot and edited by local guerrilla videographers,
news reports culled from a wide variety of sources, critiques of civilization
and the state, and live in-studio discussion.

Update:
Cascadia Alive! crew members attended CTV's 4pm board meeting
on Monday, July 22, to respond to CTV's proposal that Cascadia Alive!
cease to be a live program and instead be pre-taped. CTV board members
agreed that Cascadia Alive! should remain a live program, and stated
that their only concern was that there should be a contingency plan in
place in case a CTV trained operator was not available to babysit the
show. CTV always has a trained operator available from 4-10pm, but the
station's facilities usually close at 10pm. Because of free speech restrictions,
Cascadia Alive! is aired from 10-11pm to be within the "safe
harbor" hours. Cascadia Alive! agreed that if CTV's trained
operator was not available, it could be arranged to pre-tape the show
at 9pm, but that this would be done on a contingency basis and would not
be a regular practice. Cascadia Alive! will therefore continue
to be a live show, but we may occassionally pre-tape a show an hour before
the usual live broadcast.

Cascadia Flashback is now on the air! The new show features community
history, radical perspectives, music and classic moments selected from
Cascadia Alive!'s six-year archive of weekly programs. Flashback
airs at 11pm every Wednesday following Cascadia Alive!'s weekly
live broadcast on CTV Channel 22 (Channel 29 in upgraded areas).
